I took an experiment this 2024 year and came to a conclusion about this powder that’s I use 20.5 grains of 4198 in 222 Remington behind a Hornady 40gr V-max for excellent results. Accuracy is consistent out to 300 yards and the little V-max is deadly on prairie pooches. It also works well with Barnes 40gr Varminator and Barnes 50gr Varmint Grenade bullets. I switched to 4198 after years of using 748 which is still a good propellant but the 4198 requires less volume to achieve slightly better results. Good stuff and many prairie dogs agree.
